The SHS Guidance office has many materials available for students to pick up to assist families in completing this process at home. In addition, we also host a FAFSA Completion Workshop each year.
This year the event will be held in the SHS library on Saturday, November 9th from 9 to 11 AM. Families interested in attending should call the guidance office at 724-214-3211 to reserve a spot in either the 9:00 or 10:00 session.
As you may recall, earlier this school year we submitted a Flexible Instructional Days (FID) application to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We have been notified that our Flexible Instructional Day (FID) application has been approved.

Little ones do not want to miss this years first Symphonic Spooktacular! Children are encouraged to dress in costume for this fun family event. Our night begins with a "Haunted Hallway" where the children can trick-or-treat through our decorated hallway. At 7:00 pm, the Butler 9th Grade Orchestra will perform some "spooky" favorites in the lobby followed by the Senior High Orchestra. Little ones are encouraged to sit up close on the floor for this interactive concert experience. Following the performance, we have a small festive craft the kids can take home with them. A fun night of costumes, trick-or treat and music for all - we hope to see you there! Doors open at 6:00 pm. Suggested donation $5. All proceeds go to the Butler Orchestra.

The Butler Rock Orchestra has been invited to perform at the 2020 PMEA State Conference in April!
To be selected, the group had to submit 3 recordings from the 2019 school year, which were evaluated by a panel of judges. The top groups in the state are selected to showcase their talents at the conference where they will perform in front of music educators from across the state of Pennsylvania. This year, the conference will be held at the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center in the Poconos.
Congratulations to the Butler Rock Orchestra!
